Knowing who your neighbors are, being in communication with each other and on the look out for suspicious activity can go a long way in creating a safer environment. The Crime Prevention Unit of the South Bend Police Department is a great resource for residents. They can provide home security surveys, help organize neighborhood watch programs, neighborhood notices and present to neighborhood groups on crime related issues. Call 235-9401 or 235-9201
